Cease and Caesura is a literary journal that explores all of literature's startling realities and poetic viscera. Our literary journal was born out of the desire to house unconventional writing that did not find its way into mainstream publishing. We are open to the obscure, the absurd, the lonely, and the misunderstood. We are a quirky journal, and love writing that is able to entertain Keats' concept of negative capability and Whitman's sense of contradiction. We want to see the most beautiful slaughterhouse you can imagine.
